ClientTrack Preview File Feature Enhancement
What to know about ClientTrack's new Preview File feature.
Table of Contents
Eccovia has recently enhanced ClientTrack file upload functionality with a new feature that will enable users to preview a file that has been uploaded without having to download the file to the user's device. Now, users can see the contents of a file within a browser window while logged into ClientTrack.
The feature is accessible from a new Preview File action menu option that has been added to baseline client file and document checklist history forms (see full list of baseline forms further below). Once a document is uploaded and the record is saved, a user can select the Preview File action menu option for the applicable record.
When the Preview File menu option is selected, ClientTrack will open the file in a separate browser window where users can view it.
The file viewer is compatible with many file formats including: .pdf, .txt, .docx, .xlsx, .jpg, and .png. The viewer displays all pages of the file and lets you navigate to a selected page as applicable.
This feature has been added to all ClientTrack baseline client file upload and document checklist history forms including Client Files, All Files, and Document Check History. The full list of updated baseline forms include:
- Document Check History (ID 761)
- Client Files (ID 1560)
- Associated Files (ID 2549)
- Staff Files (ID 2712)
- All Client Files (ID 3356)
- Client Files with Codes (ID 3809)
- Entity Document Check History (ID 3912)
Configured Client Files or Document Checklist Forms
Note: The Preview File menu option will not be automatically available on existing configured versions of the baseline client files or document checklist history forms that may be present in a customer's ClientTrack environment. To use the new Preview File feature on these forms, as well as other configured forms that use the file upload functionality, the configured forms will need to be updated to add the new menu option.
